Hosted by Karya Kadin Dernegi in the picturesque city of Silivri, Istanbul, Turkey, this five-day training course brought together youth workers from participating organizations eager to enhance their skills and improve the quality of their activities. The primary aim was to develop entrepreneurial competencies among young people, particularly girls and women. Participants gained firsthand opportunities to strengthen their skills, exchange practices with peers from other countries, and bring valuable insights back to their work with youth in their communities.

Inclusivity was a central focus of this training, ensuring the involvement of young people with fewer opportunities, especially girls and women from participating communities. By embracing diversity, the course fostered high-quality activities led by participating organizations while cultivating entrepreneurial mindsets and competencies.

The training also opened doors to new local and international learning opportunities for young people. It facilitated collaboration across sectors by involving representatives from local communities, high schools, and even entrepreneurs. These contributions enriched the training, providing participants with practical examples and valuable experiences to empower young people.

Throughout the five days, participants engaged in interactive activities like games, group work, and knowledge sharing. A highlight was a creative exploration of shifting stereotypes through an “empowered woman” lens. This included reimagining seven classic commercials, with participants acting as commercial characters and producing impressive digital posters. Teams also created a Canva report for the project and a heartfelt video capturing the participants’ reflections and emotions related to the experience. This dynamic exchange left a lasting impact on all involved, fostering innovation and empowerment.
