Empowering Young LGBTQ+ Entrepreneurs: Insights from Germany, Croatia, and Poland

Entrepreneurship drives economic growth, sparks innovation, and fosters social progress. For young LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs, building a business is more than a personal achievement—it’s an opportunity to break stereotypes, promote inclusion, and influence societal attitudes. Yet, the path to entrepreneurship varies significantly across cultural and political landscapes.

Our recent report, “Challenges and Status of Young LGBTQ+ Entrepreneurs in Germany, Croatia, and Poland,” explores the unique obstacles and opportunities these entrepreneurs encounter in three diverse European contexts. Drawing from a survey of 172 individuals and expert interviews, the report highlights critical disparities in areas such as community support, funding access, and societal acceptance—factors that profoundly shape the entrepreneurial journeys of LGBTQ+ individuals.
