About this exchange
Multiculturalism: Accept it, Embrace it, Celebrate it! was an Erasmus+ KA152 youth exchange coordinated by Highlights e.V. The project period ran from January to October 2023, with the mobility itself held in Istanbul from 2–10 May 2023.
Forty-nine participants from Germany, Türkiye, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Greece explored intercultural dialogue, tools to prevent conflicts and youth radicalisation, and ways to foster tolerance. Core objectives included supporting youth-led dialogue initiatives, encouraging participation in public life, and sharing Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps opportunities.

- Underscore how youth-led initiatives can foster dialogue and discourage radicalisation in multicultural societies
- Encourage youth participation in public life as a way to practice intercultural learning and dialogue
- Disseminate Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps opportunities among participants and peers
ACTIVITIES
Planned activities
Intercultural dialogue workshops
Sessions explored the importance of dialogue across cultures and tools for preventing conflict.
Tolerance and anti-radicalisation learning
Activities helped participants examine prejudices and practice approaches that foster tolerance.
Erasmus+ and ESC orientation
The programme shared further European youth opportunities with participants and their networks.
