About this exchange
Reducing Green Footprint was an Erasmus+ KA152 youth exchange coordinated by Highlights e.V. From 20–29 March 2023 in Alanya, Türkiye, young people from Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Italy, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Türkiye, and Germany came together to increase knowledge of CO₂ footprint issues and encourage greener everyday habits.
Core objectives included deepening understanding of environmental protection and creative recycling/upcycling, comparing sustainable practices across countries, supporting more environmentally friendly daily habits, and mobilising young people around sustainable development goals.
What we set out to achieve

Planned activities
Ecological footprint learning
Sessions increased knowledge of CO₂ footprint issues and practical ways to reduce impact.
Recycling and upcycling workshops
Creative activities explored recycling and upcycling as tools for ecological awareness.
Cross-country green practice exchange
Participants compared sustainable practices from their countries and brainstormed new ideas.
Local mobilisation ideas
Groups discussed how to spread sustainable-development and green-agenda activities at home.
