WELLCORE in Four Countries

From June to October 2026, each partner organised a national pilot of the WELLCORE training with youth workers and young people. The pilots tested whether the programme works outside the Training for Trainers, in different national contexts and with different groups.

Adapting the format

Each pilot offered around 30 hours. Each organisation could choose the format that suited its participants: an intensive five-day course, or a series of shorter sessions. In Germany, Highlights e.V. ran the pilot as standalone modular events instead of a single residential week, so participants could join the sessions that fitted their schedules.

Priority was given to young people who might otherwise have fewer opportunities to take part in wellbeing activities, and the venues and activities were designed to be accessible.

Reporting and reflection

Each partner reported on its pilot using the templates from the pilot guidelines. The reports record what worked, what needed adjustment, and how participants experienced the programme. In November 2026 participants will be supported to reflect on what they learned through a Youth Pass workshop and certificates.
