Testing the Programme in Germany

In May 2026, youth workers and trainers from the four partner countries met in Nuremberg for a five-day Training for Trainers. Hosted by Highlights e.V., it was the first time the Good Practices compilation and the training programme were applied together.

Learning by doing

Participants worked through the programme as learners, taking part in movement, nature, theatre, circus, acroyoga and play-based sessions. Each day included time for reflection, so they could consider how to adapt the activities for the young people they would work with. The second partner meeting took place at the same venue immediately before the training, which let the partners prepare together and reduced travel.

What participants took home

The training gave the trainers the experience and the confidence to run the programme in their own countries. Their feedback on timing, facilitation and adaptation informed the pilot guidelines, which gave the partners templates and recommendations for delivering and reporting the national trainings.
