03Training Programme

From Practice to Programme

Between January and April 2026, the partners developed the WELLCORE training programme for youth workers and youth organisations. It builds on a wellbeing training first run in Northern Germany in 2022, as part of a SALTO Training of Trainers practice project, and develops those ideas into a full programme.

Four modules

The programme is organised into five training days, each with a slow start, a morning session, an afternoon session and, in some cases, an informal evening session. A tree is the shared metaphor: arrival and roots, growth, then shared fruits. Participants try each technique themselves before using it with the young people they work with. The programme starts from the view that wellbeing in youth work is best approached in person, in contact with nature, and from several dimensions at once.

  1. 01

    Wellbeing through movement therapies

  2. 02

Mental health and connection through nature and theatre

  3. 03

Cooperation and consent through circus and acroyoga

  4. 04

    Resilience through play

  1. 4 modules
  2. 5 training days
  3. Reusable activities

Designed to be reused

Each activity is written up with its objectives, timing, facilitation tips and preparation tasks, so it can also be run on its own. The programme includes annexes with a reflection template and a progressive muscle relaxation guide.
